This beautiful female is a prime example of what her sire, AML Legacy’s El Duro throws...Exquisite fleece - soft, high frequency, elite style crimp. She is dense, dense, dense and has coverage down to her toes. Dolce’s Fleece Statistics from 3/12/2008 were: 16.4, 3.5, 21.3, 0.4.A Legacy granddaughter, she has a lovely head and correct conformation. A Dark Rose Grey, she is the color of her dam who, although only shown once, took a Championship at the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza. Her sire is the recently deceased AML Legacy’s El Duro (“Pedro”), named 2007 Top Stud of the Year in a study which can be reviewed on The Forum at Alpaca Nation. Of his first 18 offspring, 5 took Championships and 8 others have placed high in ribbon standings. Pedro died before he could produce very many more offspring.
Dolce herself has taken ONLY blue ribbons all 4 times shown, as well as the Color Championship at the 2008 Futurity, AND the Reserve Championship in grey at the 2009 World Fleece Show.
Dolce is bred to nationally recognized multiple-champion medium rose grey Premier’s Absolute owned by DAFI Alpacas, and is due 9/9/2010. At 2 years of age this male’s micron count was an amazing 16.2, and he has continued to retain his fabulous fleece character, fineness, and extreme density.... a rare combination in a grey. Absolute is nationally known for producing outstanding crias who have done extremely well in the showring. In 2005, 4 of his female cria were sold at auction for an average price of $42,500!
Two absolutely stunning rose grey’s with extreme fineness AND density....the offspring is sure to be exceptional!
Dolce is co-owned with our friends, the LaScala’s of Precious Farm Alpacas in Montville, NJ.
